Hello, my name is Kiss! I'm newly 19 and a college graduate with an Associates in Arts and Education. I live in Central Texas, surrounded by cows and rolling plains. I have four cats, a dog, four chickens and two ducks.

I have one host for TCG things, but I'm looking for one (three.words.net most likely!) to host my own more personal things, such as writing, fanfiction, musing, and possibly graphics! I have a very varied interest area lmao

I enjoy dressing up in overly frilly clothes that are not practical for the weather and always appreciate recommendations for good reads, games, desserts and cocktails. Failing that, cute rabbit and kitten pictures will suffice...

I wasn't sure exactly how to start (and can be a bit on the shy side, besides! ) so I thought I would begin with some interesting facts!

So, hello, hello to one and all. I usually go by Rinoa. I used to run a pretty big design collective/community under the domain animerequiem.com but had to shut it down because it simply grew larger than I had the time to devote to it anymore.

I now own the domain unflawless.net. To me it sorta represents that there's always room for improvement, and likewise, if adversely, you don't (and won't) always have to be perfect in what you create. If that makes sense...?

Anyhow. Just trying to get back into the design community. I enjoy music, colour palettes, and more things than I could possibly list here.

How did you actually learn HTML/CSS/PHP etc.

Hello everyone!

I was just wondering, how did you all actually learn web-coding (HTML, CSS, Javascript etc.) or Photoshop and stuff like that? Since I'm still super in-experienced at all those things I would kind of like to know how everyone else learnt them.

I started with just looking at source codes and identifying the parts on the page and finding basic HTML tutorials online. I then went on to borrow 'HTML and CSS for Dummies' from my local library. At the moment I'm watching a bunch of Photoshop CS6 Lydna.com tutorials, they're uber helpful. I'm also reading HTML and CSS: Design and Build Websites by Jon Duckett which is amazingly designed. (The pages are so purity! xD)

I haven't been on my laptop for ages because school is evil. EVILLL. D:< Or else I'm just finding excuses. But that's besides the point of this thread.

OH MY GLOB ADOBE CREATIVE CLOUD.
If you use the Adobe Creative Suite you probably know what I'm talking about. Basically, Adobe might (*hint hint*, might) stop Creative Suite and move to the Creative Cloud. That means you can't get the programs outright and have to use the programs under a subscription. The new updates will all be through the Creative Cloud. The subscription costs $40 p/ month which gives you access to the all of the 'Creative Cloud' programs. I honestly think this is stupid. I kind of 'borrowed' CS6 from my cousin's partner because he's a print designer and has this stuff. (I don't know any thirteen year old who has Photoshop CS#... legally XD)

What are your opinions on this? I personally think It's kind of stupid but it does come with some amazing features. The connection through Behance seems cool and the new features in Photoshop 'CC'. (They're changing the names from CS# to 'CC') If I become desperate enough I might *cough* to get the programs. Thanks a lot Adobe. Now how am I going to get the programs? D:

User-defined function using Wordpress source code (PHP)

A user-defined function can save us a lot of time from rewriting the same code again and again making our application smaller.

A default way of using a user-defined is like this:

Using the Wordpress array merge method the function is now more flexible and we can place each variables in any order we want in a URL-query style.

PHP Code:

function_name ( 'var=Apple&var2=Mango' );

function_name ( 'var2=Mango&var=Apple' ); 

Wordpress is a great content management system so why not use the source code. Just don’t forget that Wordpress is licensed under GPLv2.

So in this tutorial we will use three Wordpress functions: the wp_parse_str() and wp_parse_args() and wp_stripslashes_deep().

First, we have to create a function.php. Copy the three function code below and paste in the file.

Now that we have all the required functions we can now create own own. Follow this example below.

Copy this code and add it to your function.php file.

Now there are two ways of using the test() function. In the first example, we can use a single line or URL-query style.

According to Google: The preferred domain is the one that you would liked used to index your site's pages (sometimes this is referred to as the canonical domain). Links may point to your site using both the www and non-www versions of the URL (for instance, http://www.example.com and http://example.com). The preferred domain is the version that you want used for your site in the search results.

So which one you prefer?

Put either code in your .htaccess file which must be saved on your domain’s root directory.

Redirect WWW to non-WWW
